!!WARNING!!
This is a CLOSED species. You CANNOT make your own without permission!

Hair Texture
The afro can be either super dense or semi-dense. They relate directly to hair types 4A (looser) and 4B/C (kinky)

More About Body Types
The body types are all about proportions. You CAN have a really small standard, so long as they do not have short legs like a munchkin. You can have really big ones too - think slightly larger than a maine coon. It is also possible to have a chubby serval or a super skinny munchkin. It really all comes down to proportions! Please keep them within reason, though. I don't want to see any serval-sized munchkins lumbering around.

FAQ -

How are they unique if they're just a cat with an Afro?
Have you checked the lore recently? The species is based on what an Afro represents, societally, politically, and spiritually. They are beacons of inspiration, beauty, and power. They also have their own communities (I say micro because they live in this current world and dimension) and customs. Everything about them, including the upcoming mutations, reflects something specific/important in the world of the afro.

If you stick around, I'm sure you'll enjoy them!

Why cats?
I love cats. Really. This does not need any more explanation. I didn't feel the need to make an entirely new species with new anatomy for the concept.

But seriously, they're just cats with afros!
There are a whole lot of species that are combinations of two things. Again, it's the lore and fleshing out that makes the species. Even if they DIDN'T have lore, everyone can make a hybrid concept or an animal + object combination differently!

So, why is it a closed species?
Because I would like to keep it respectful. As seen with users who make fun of the species, I think having AfroCats as an open species may lead to issues of cultural appropriation and other things. Also, since they mean a lot to me Please do not assume that because it's a closed species it is inherently elitist, overpriced, or otherwise.

You can't stop me from making an Afro Cat!
Nope, I can't. But it won't be MY Afro Cats. Frankly if you make a cat character who has an Afro I'd LOVE to see it, but I ask that you be respectful and not call it an Afro Cat under my name or use my SPECIFIC concepts unless you are officially part of the group [you see how i said specifics? Copying my traits, lore sheet, and designs is indeed wrong and can't be passed off as 'making your own version of Afro Cats'.]

I love these babies SO SO MUCH. <3

Question on hair textures tho! Are type 3 textures allowed at all? I personally have looser curls sometimes (somewhere between type 3 and 4A) and was wondering if there's a hard line between what textures are accepted for these babies. :>

also! just thought I'd point out that your link to the hair texture types doesn't work. it should be this link -> kingdomcurls.files.wordpress.c…
but for some reason it looks like some extra letters got added to the link in your AC?
